General surgery is on the "cutting edge" as it continues to reinvent itself to the benefit of the     surgical patient.
Department of General Surgery is comprised of board-certified surgeons who provide evaluation and     treatment for a full range of general surgery conditions.
The breadth of surgical services includes hepatobiliary, transplant, surgical oncology and general     surgery procedures. Moreover, the staff works closely with other medical specialties to provide     optimal patient care.
General Surgery staff perform a variety of procedures including, but not limited, appendectomy,     Cholecystectomy , Laparoscopic and Open Hernia Repair.
Surgical oncology, including coordinated multimodality management of the cancer patient by     screening, surveillance, surgical adjunctive therapy, rehabilitation, and follow-up
Comprehensive management of trauma, including musculoskeletal, hand, and head injuries. The     responsibility for all phases of care of the injured patient is an essential component of general     surgery.
Complete care of critically ill patients with underlying surgical conditions, in the emergency room,     intensive care unit, and trauma/burn units.
